PG is hygroscopic (attracts water), has low toxicity and outstanding stability, as well as high flash and boiling points.

Propylene Glycol (PG) is used in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and a wide range of other practical applications. Pharmaceutical-grade and industrial-grade are the two grades used.
